Whatever your roofing wants, we have a system tailored to fit your budget.
Hot and Cold Built-Up Asphalt Roofing Systems
Carrying on the expertise handed down from journeyman to apprentice; our people learn the basics of roofing through tried and true methods proven through hundreds of years of application. Training in the art of traditional built-up roofing systems impresses upon each and every one of our craftsmen the basics of waterproofing a building without compromising the ability of the surrounding and underlying building components to move, support, and integrate into the living, breathing entity that it is.
Our investment in traditional built-up equipment gives us the advantage to offer installation of these “old school” systems when warranted.
Modified Bitumen Roofing Systems
For over thirty years Dryspace has installed a variety of modified bitumen roofing systems using many of major roofing material manufacturer’s differing types and configurations of modified bitumen products.
APP Modified Bitumen
Installing APP modified using open flamed torches is challenging and does not always lend itself to every structure. Every one of our roofing technicians are trained on an ongoing basis in the proper and safe use of open flamed equipment. Each of our people are Certified Roof Torch Welding technicians retrained every three years through the Midwest Roofing Contractors Association/National Roofing Contractors Association (MRCA/NRCA) CERTA program.
APP membrane can be installed using other medium than an open flamed torch and these methods are updated and improved constantly by our partners in the manufacturing world.
SBS Modified Bitumen
As with APP modified materials SBS roofing membranes can be installed using open flamed torches, hot air welding, cold adhesives, hot asphalt, and even peel and stick adhesive as acceptable ways to adhere the roofing systems and flashings.
We are fortunate to be aligned with manufacturers offering full lines of roofing materials with the technical backup necessary to install the ever changing roofing systems in the single ply deep cache of systems.
Installing our first EPDM systems back in the late 1970’s proved to foreshadow the future that our industry has evolved. Ballasted, mechanically attached, and fully adhered systems have proven to offer building owners longevity and value for their roofing dollars. New adhesives containing low VOC properties have changed the environmental impact and offer us the ability to install membranes using “Green” technology.
Unlike our EPDM installations, PVC membranes challenged us to procure equipment and learn techniques to heat weld PVC membrane seams in lieu of using adhesives. PVC roofing systems give us the ability to install “Cool Roofs” when the situation calls for it.
In 1992 we installed our first TPO membrane using techniques and equipment we had in place from our long standing relationship with EPDM and PVC. TPO provides owners and customers with an economical system to satisfy new green and cool roof standards.
Standing Seam Metal Roofing
Although most of the architectural sheet metal installed on our roofing projects is done by a sheet metal contractor that we have a long standing relationship with since the early 1900’s, we do install standing seam metal roofs manufactured either by our friend in architectural sheet metal business or a number of major metal roofing manufacturers.
